The Decision Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on

Automate the delivery of gigawatts. Every process that takes AI infrastructure from land to live compute becomes software: schedules, decisions, and todos generated from a live knowledge graph instead of chased by hand.
Forward-deploy beside the experts. Product teams sit with quality managers, sourcing leads, and deployment engineers on factory floors and sites, and turn their judgment into systems that reach every unit.
Deliver every supercomputer faster than the last. Dozens of concurrent projects feed one graph, so every lesson learned at one site becomes a preventive check at all of them.

Role Scope

Build and lead the team that turns manufacturing and supply chain into software: thirteen Decision Engineers to hire, covering the order book for tens of billions of dollars of equipment, procurement tracking that catches drift the week it happens, receiving that reconciles to the purchase order, quality generated per asset, and a factory that opens this fall on a schedule that replans itself.
Own delivery end to end: you set the technical direction, sequence the work with the function's Product Manager, and hold the bar on what ships, and you still write and ship code every week.
Make the architecture calls that keep the function one system: bills of materials, purchase orders, vendor documents, test evidence, inventory, and shipments all land in one graph with price and lead time joined to the design, and you own the boundaries that stop it from becoming six tools with six truths.
Turn the company bottleneck into a solved problem: the order schedule, the cash demand by month, and the payment schedule derive from the same graph the buyers work in, so leadership plans capital against what the supply chain will actually deliver instead of a document that goes stale the day it is written.
Keep the team forward-deployed: your engineers sit with sourcing leads, quality managers, factory operators, and warehouse teams, on their floors and in their vendor calls, and you make sure what they build runs the line and the warehouse, not just the demo.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.

You've shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript for years, and you still ship weekly while leading.
You've hired and led a team of engineers from a few to a dozen or more through ambiguous, high-stakes delivery, and you kept the bar high without slowing the team down.
You've built with LLM APIs, MCP servers, and agentic frameworks, and you run AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor as a daily multiplier for yourself and your team.
You've owned software that operators outside engineering depend on, and you've earned credibility with quality inspectors, buyers, or warehouse leads on their turf.
You make architecture calls that hold up: engineers extend data models you designed months later without rewriting them, and you know when a second system is a mistake.
You've found the unowned problem, taken it, and driven it to adopted without anyone assigning you the work.
You've run a team against a hard physical date, like a factory start or a product launch, and shipped the software before the line did.
Bonus: MES, PLM, ERP, WMS, or TMS systems. Engineering change control and BOM lineage. Inspection and factory acceptance testing. Receiving and three-way match. Time in vendor factories or warehouses. Prior team lead or engineering manager title at a high-velocity startup.
