About Fluidstack

Technology is the most important tool humans have found for improving the human condition, but it is not a default good. It is a lever for ideology.

Today the most powerful technology in history is being built: machines that solve problems better than humans can. The most important mission of our generation is to imbue AI with democratic values: error-correcting institutions, freedom of speech, individual liberties. AI trains and runs on massive compute clusters. Whichever ideology builds the infrastructure the fastest is the ideology that will endure. Democracy is delicate and won't survive this technology by default.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

How We Operate

  • Be a barrel. Full autonomy. Own things end to end, take on scope without being asked, no permission required to operate outside your core role.

  • Insane urgency. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.

  • Reason from first principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.

  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.

  • Build something that actually matters. If you're going to spend your time, spend it on something that matters to the world.

About the Role

Fluidstack is looking for a Fixed Asset Accounting Lead to own and scale our fixed asset function as we grow rapidly across global data center infrastructure. In this senior individual contributor / people manager role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle — from capitalization policy and CIP tracking through depreciation, disposals, and impairment — across a large and growing portfolio of GPU servers, networking equipment, and data center buildouts. You will partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Engineering, and Operations to ensure asset records are accurate, audit-ready, and aligned with both US GAAP and IFRS requirements. This is a high-impact role at the heart of FluidStack's IPO readiness journey.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of fixed asset or property accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior manager capacity

  • Deep technical knowledge of ASC 360 (Property, Plant & Equipment), capitalization vs. expensing judgments, CIP accounting, and depreciation methodologies

  • Experience managing fixed asset subledgers at scale (NetSuite or similar ERP), including reconciliation to the general ledger

  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes and the ability to own the fixed asset close independently

  • Experience working in a high-growth technology, data center, or capital-intensive industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license or equivalent professional accounting qualification

  • Exposure to PCAOB audit environments and S-1 / IPO readiness processes

  • Familiarity with IFRS 16 (lease accounting) and the intersection with owned vs. leased asset classification

  • Experience building or overhauling fixed asset policies and procedures from the ground up

  • Prior work with complex multi-entity, multi-currency asset portfolios across international jurisdictions

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).

  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
